Meet The Team

Gabriel started his Cosmetology training in Mexico City at the young age of 17. In 1994 he relocated to the USA and began working his magic in Chicago’s Gold Coast, working for Paul Redher Salon, Ivan Noel Salon, and Sho Studio. He has received advanced training at the elite Sassoon academy in cutting and hair color.

He has worked with major brands including Wella Professional, Schwarzkopf Professional, Redken, and Clairol. He specializes in Thermal Reconditioning (Japanese thermal straightening) and Balayage techniques. Aside from hair, Gabriel has worked for Christian Dior and Elizabeth Arden, specializing in make-up application and skin care.

For over twenty years Gabriel has made a name for himself as one of Andersonville’s most in-demand hair stylists, proving his love for the neighborhood by continuing his career here at Restoration Salon as Owner. Outside of the salon, Gabriel’s other passion is healthy living and teaching Yoga as a certified instructor.

Born and raised in Chicago, Rachael began her hair journey after studying art and design. With over 25 years of experience, she became a licensed educator with Aveda Institutes in 2023 and continues to teach for Mario Tricoci University.

She is a licensed barber and specializes in short hair, bobs, precision cutting, shags, and vivid color. If you want a fade or anything pink you've met your match. She continues to further her own education, frequently taking classes and presenting at industry events.

When not at the salon you'll find her hanging with friends and family (inevitably giving them haircuts), in a yoga class, or watching an old horror movie.
