Gabriel started his Cosmetology training in Mexico City at the young age of 17. In 1994 he relocated to the USA and began working his magic in Chicago’s Gold Coast, worked for Paul Redher Salon, Ivan Noel Salon, Sho Studio.He has received advanced training at the elite Sassoon academy in cutting, Hair Color. He had worked with different Color Brands (Wella Professional, Schwarzkopf Professional, Redken, Clairol,)Thermal Reconditioning (AKA Japanese thermal straightening) and Balayage techniques. Aside from hair, Gabriel has worked for Christian Dior and Elizabeth Arden, specializing in make-up application and skin care. For over a twenty years Gabriel has made a name for himself as one of Andersonville’s most in-demand hair stylist, and has proven his love for the neighborhood by continuing his career here at Restoration Salon.(Now as a Owner) Outside of the salon, Gabriel’s other passion is healthy living and teaching Yoga as a certified instructor.

I have been at the forefront of the salon industry for 30 years. I got my start in Boston on the famed Newbury Street where I worked for 15 years before relocating to Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. I then moved to Los Angeles and really stepped out of my comfort zone and learned from some of the top stylist in Los Angeles. I believe in precision dry cuts and achieving a natural looking hair color. From ombre to balayage, I can incorporate whatever style you are looking for.
